Pawn or Sell Your Electronics? How We Evaluate, Price, and Pay
If you’re bringing in laptops, tablets, cameras, drones, game consoles, TVs, or audio, the first decision is simple: pawn it (borrow against it and keep ownership) or sell it (transfer ownership for cash). Below is exactly how we evaluate, how offers are determined, and which option tends to fit different situations.
When to Pawn vs. Sell (Straight Talk)
Pawn when you want the item back.
You’re using the device, it’s set up the way you like it, or it’s expensive to replace. A pawn lets you borrow against it, pick it up later, and keep your setup intact.Sell when you’re done with it.
You’ve upgraded, you have duplicates, or you don’t want to carry insurance or do future repairs. Selling converts it to cash immediately.
Pawn terms: 60-day minimum, 30-day renewals, no maximum, with clear monthly service-charge tiers. We’ll show you both numbers side-by-side so you can choose.
How We Evaluate (In Plain View)
At the counter we verify identity, model, and condition and function-test core features. Where applicable we check:
Power-on & battery health
Display (dead pixels, lines, burn-in)
Ports & connectivity (USB/USB-C, HDMI, SD; Wi-Fi/Bluetooth)
Cameras/sensors (for phones/tablets/cameras/drones)
Audio (speakers, headphone jack, mic)
Controller pairing (consoles) and remote operation (TVs/audio)
Accessories (chargers, remotes, cables, controllers, batteries) are noted line-by-line. We write everything on your ticket so you know exactly what we tested and what’s included.

We price against today’s comps. Fast-moving categories (consoles, current laptops) can track very closely to demand.
You’ll receive a written offer for both paths (pawn or sell) when it makes sense. No pressure either way.
Data & Privacy (Important)
Before you visit, please sign out and factory-reset devices and remove any passwords/activation locks (e.g., iCloud/Find My, Google FRP, console accounts). This protects you and speeds up testing. If you’re unsure, we’ll walk you through the basics in store.

Local Notes
Little Rock & North Little Rock: High volume of consoles (PlayStation/Xbox/Nintendo), laptops, and TVs. Chargers/remotes and controller count matter.
Conway: Lots of student laptops/tablets and headphones/speakers; battery health and chargers drive value.
Greater Nashville (Hermitage & Franklin): More cameras/drones and mixed home-audio. Lens condition and included batteries/chargers are key.
Process and documentation are consistent at every store.

Do you offer layaway on electronics?
No layaway on electronics.
If I choose to shop instead, do electronics come with a warranty?
Yes—retail electronics are backed by a 30-day guarantee for functional issues (store details apply).
How long does testing take?
Usually minutes, depending on the device and how many accessories we’re verifying. Same-day payment if you accept.
