Trade In to Trade Up: How to Upgrade Jewelry, Watches & Handbags Within 6 Months
If you’ve purchased a piece from us and later find something you like more, you may be able to apply your original purchase price toward a higher-priced item. Below is exactly how the program works and how to keep your purchase eligible.
What the Program Is (and Isn’t)
Purpose: Upgrade jewelry, luxury watches, or designer handbags you bought from us.
Credit: Apply your original purchase price toward a higher-priced item.
Window: You have up to 6 months from the original purchase date.
Condition: Item must be in similar condition to when sold. Normal light wear is fine; heavy wear may reduce or void eligibility.
Categories: Applies to jewelry, watches, and handbags. Electronics are excluded.
Authentication: Eligible luxury purchases remain covered by our Braswell Authenticity Guarantee (B.A.G.) on the retail side.
Basic Steps
Bring the item you purchased from us, your receipt, and all included accessories (boxes, dust bags, links, cards, etc.).
We inspect the piece in view and confirm condition.
Choose a higher-priced item you want instead.
We apply your original purchase price as credit; you pay the difference plus tax.
We finalize the ticket and you leave with the upgraded piece.
Keeping Your Purchase Eligible (6-Month Checklist)
Wear normally; avoid heavy damage (deep scratches, dents, cracked stones/leather, broken zippers, strong odors).
Keep accessories together: boxes, dust bags, extra bracelet links, authenticity cards, receipts.
Skip heavy polishing or DIY repairs—over-polishing or color changes can void eligibility.
Bring it back clean (light wipe only). For jewelry, no harsh chemicals.
“Similar Condition” — What That Means
Acceptable: Light hairlines on metal, minor edge rub on handbags, normal clasp/strap wear, standard micro-swirls.
May reduce or void eligibility: Deep gouges, bent/broken prongs, missing stones, water intrusion in watches, strong odors or stains in handbags, cracked leather or broken zippers, missing links that shorten a bracelet below standard sizing.
We’ll show you exactly what we’re seeing at the counter before we proceed.
Examples (How Credit Works)
Handbag to Handbag: You bought a bag for $1,200. Within 6 months, you find one at $1,650. If condition is similar and accessories are present, we apply $1,200; you pay $450 + tax.
Watch to Watch: You purchased a watch for $3,800. You choose a piece priced at $5,200. With similar condition and all links present, you pay $1,400 + tax.
Jewelry to Jewelry: A ring purchased for $950 is traded toward one at $1,425. Credit $950; pay $475 + tax.
Credit applies only toward higher-priced items and only within 6 months of the original purchase date.
FAQs
Can I trade a handbag toward a watch (or vice-versa)?
Yes—across categories is fine as long as both items are in participating categories (jewelry, watches, handbags) and the new item is higher-priced.
What if I lost the box or extra links?
We can still evaluate. Missing accessories can reduce eligibility or the value of your credit—especially spare links for watches.
Is there a limit to how many times I can trade up?
Each purchase carries its own 6-month window. You can trade up again if the new purchase qualifies.
Do you allow trade-downs or refunds?
No. This program is for upgrades only—credit toward a higher-priced item. It is not a return or refund.
Does layaway affect eligibility?
Layaway is available on non-electronics retail items. The 6-month clock starts on the date you take possession (final pickup). Electronics are excluded from both layaway and Trade Up.
Local Notes
Little Rock & North Little Rock: Most upgrades involve Rolex/Omega, diamond studs/solitaires, and Louis Vuitton totes/crossbodies. Extra links and dust bags matter.
Conway: Frequent jewelry upgrades—solitaires to halos, chain/pendant to heavier chains. Keep receipts and boxes where possible.
Greater Nashville (Hermitage & Franklin): Handbag and watch upgrades are common; odor-free interiors and complete watch bracelets are key.
Process and documentation are consistent across all locations.
